Together with SEAHEALTH, maritime operators within offshore wind have started a network with the goal of balancing the development of HSE demands between the building sector and the maritime sector. On the basis of best practice from operators in the supply chain, the Cross Wind Network will contribute to the development of HSE tools to raise the safety bar in the offshore wind industry.
The goal of the Cross-Wind Network is to provide input to the development of HSE from an operational perspective through dialogue. The goal is simpler and harmonized industrial standards which makes it easier for maritime operators to follow the principles in the existing maritime ISM-standard. The assignments of the Cross-Wind Network are:
- Share experiences within HSE with companies in the supply chain
- Provide input to best practices from an operational perspective and to bring them forward in forums for developers of renewable energy.
- Bridge-building across authorities, the construction industry and maritime operators on national and European level
- Define needs for best practice input and develop HSE tools for maritime operators.
The steering committee consists of SEAHEALTH, ZITON, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier, Swire Blue Ocean and Northern Offshore Service.
